I have never encountered a historical mystery before, but I think it's a genre I'll explore some more.
As for this specific book, it was enjoyable. I liked the characters and the setting. Usually with mysteries my brain doesn't do a great job keeping up, but with A Duty to the Dead my mind managed it.
