We see everything from Casteels POV and we find out a lot of things we didn't know, things he did to help her without her knowledge, when he didn't realize he was falling for her. Which just makes me love Cas even more. (Who would've thought this was possible) Hearing his thoughts throughout the whole process really sheds light on the fact that he was doing the very best he could in a shitty situation. HE IS THE BEST BOOK BF HANDS DOWN FOREVER. I just adore their story. All of the different elements in the beginning just created this slow burn ~ mysterious tension and i devour it 🫠 this series will forever be my absolute fav. ALSOOOO all the extra stuff with Kieran just melted my heart and he is my second fav book boyfriend. he's a total softy. And an amazing friend through and through. I love their relationship. The way he takes up for Poppy before even knowing or meeting her. 🥹 and when she was supposed to be his enemy. Poppy + Cas + Kieran for life 🖤✨
