ARC Review | A Verse a Day for the Anxious Soul by Becky Keife. 4.5 ⭐️ 's. • Release Date: October 28th, 2025 • As someone who has always struggled with anxiety, I found this book to be such a comfort. Each devotion is a daily reminder that Jesus is with you & you are not alone in your struggles. Fix your thoughts on Him & find a moment of peace in the midst of the storm. Becky shares her personal struggles with anxiety & reminds us to connect with Jesus every day. It's easy to get lost in everything that we're feeling & we sometimes forget to go to him with our troubles. Her stories resonated with me & I loved the Inhale Truth, Exhale Trust statements. There are also Peace Practices throughout to help with your anxiety, including: Move, Connect, Journal, Cry, Get Outside, Hug, Rest, Laugh, Engage, Unplug, Serve, Give Thanks, Refuel & Pray. I know I'm personally prone to letting anxiety take over at times & practices like these really do make a difference. Getting outside for me is such a huge help anytime I'm overwhelmed & praying each night settles me when I'm having trouble falling asleep. Below are a few passages that I found really encouraging: "The remedy for our anxious souls is to be come well acquainted with Jesus. We've got to spend time listening to his voice, applying his words to our lives, & following his ways." "Anytime you feel disappointed in yourself, come back to his love. Anytime you feel proud of yourself, come back to his love. Whenever anxiety feels like it's going to get the last word, come back to his love." "Focusing on Jesus will magnify the hope, peace, & joy available to you today. Turn toward him. Trust in him. And watch the hope overflow." "So when you feel anxious, forgotten, or unwanted, anchor yourself in the truth of scripture. You are known and cherished by God. You are deeply loved & immeasurably valued." I would definitely recommend this devotional to anyone struggling with anxiety. Thanks to WaterBrook Multnomah, NetGalley & Becky Keife for the advanced digital copy in exchange for an honest review.
