I read this book within 6 months of [b:Rose Daughter|8089|Rose Daughter|Robin McKinley|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1308815827s/8089.jpg|2321287], which has caused the two books to be confused in my head. However, Beauty is the one that I prefer.
This is a low-paced retelling of Beauty and the Beast.
Things I liked:
*The enchanted castle. It was as creepy as you would expect it to truly be.
*Although dysfunctional, I will always enjoy this particular love story.
Things I disliked:
*The pace is slower than most people would like. I find the story to be more ponderous and relaxed, but I needed at least one 'dislike'. :)
*The two books are very similar, and I don't think that it was necessary.
