When I read the synopsis and the fmc being a type-a virgo, I knew I had to read this bc who doesn't like reading their representation in fiction, especially when it's a sports romance that includes a hot tattooed British rugby player who calls you "love". Jade McKallen is a lot of things — a full-time businesswoman, social media content creator, and owner of a newly acquired British Rugby Team. So when she moves from LA to London, she finds herself at a sports pub getting bored until a tattooed stranger literally steps in between and whisks her away for one night. Little did she know, that stranger will turn her life upside down. For good. Tieran Stone is the captain of Legends teams, with a dream of being an Olympian, the Golden boy of London until something breaks him and throws him off his game. Struggling with performance, and scrutiny after a bad game, he hides himself in a small pub where he is stopped dead in his tracks by none other than Jade McKallen, who unbeknownst to him is the new owner of his team. The author has done a great job in weaving the characters together like two puzzle pieces which just fit together, like they're meant to belong together in every universe. Their individual struggles, the communication between them, the banter, the burn, their brewing chemistry that just gets better and better in all open door scenes, it's all just perfect! Watching (or in this case reading) Jade discover herself, and healing her inner child, with Tieran by her side was like watching a flower bloom and i think it's what I loved the most in this book! This book also touches on the topics of abusive/controlling parental relationship, brief mention of Parkinson's and anxiety attacks. Please check the trigger warnings before proceeding! So if you are a hopeless romantic who also happens to be a type-a virgo, or just a fan of open door contemporary sports romance, you're going to love this book!!!
