Glenn Chadbourne's black and white drawings do justice to Freeman's text and the interview with Chadbourne at the end was illuminating - while I was reading the story and taking in the drawings I somehow imagined Chadbourne to be younger than his 1960s childhood, referenced in the interview, indicated. Must be the energy in them? ... An Early Work - Amateurish I enjoyed Painted Darkness, by this author, so gave this story a try.
