[SPOILER]
So part of the problem here is that this is just not my sort of book, but the lack of plot really irks me.
Breathing Lessons is the story of Maggie, 50ish wife and mother of two. Her nest is empty, so for the duration of the book she spends her energy trying to reunite her son and his ex-wife. It doesn't work, and the book ends.
I found Maggie to be annoying, and I found the end to be sadly anti-climatic. I waited for something to happen, and nothing did.
