this was such a fun time! A cinderella retelling type story with a VERY unique spin + world building! It did feel a little too YA at times, but if I had read it in high school this would be right up there with twilight for me.
Well, this quick read kept my attention! Cinder is a main character that I can relate to, especially when I was a teen. She doesn't have the ability to fit in well with other people, and she really has something to hide. When Cinder's life becomes entwined with big-picture items of the Commonwealth, she has much more than she can cope with.
I found the Commonwealth the be complicated enough to be believeable, without being too much to be interesting. Cinder was a believeable and enjoyable character, all in all I enjoyed this book and would recommend. I do have a dislike for 'series', generally speaking, but even as a stand-alone this book is passable.
