Down The Aisle Author: Rose Chase ARC Review: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐/5 Spice: 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️ Tropes: - Secret Mafia - Healing - Found Family - He falls first and harder - Touch Her and Die - Morally Grey - He's obsessed with her - Single Mom Down The Aisle is the medium paced dark romance (kind of) story which revolves around a runaway single mom, who's hiding to keep her child & herself safe, and a mobster who falls in love with her at the first sight. Adam Santini is a big bad billionaire mobster and a businessman who runs his business from Seaside. He's cold and ruthless, known as Angel of Death who spares no one who crosses him but he also has a golden retriever energy that he only keeps for his family and his love. Eliza Stone is a single mom who's running for her life, quite literally and stumbles in Seaside with a new identity to keep herself and her newborn son safe. She is scarred, heartbroken and always looking behind her shoulders until Adam forced his way into her life. The book was fast paced (kind of) as there's an obsession from Adam's side but otherwise it's more of a medium paced with how things progressed between the two. The author did a great job in showing her characters multi layered. Despite the golden retriever persona of Adam, there were instances where the glimpse of his darker side could be seen. Similarly with Eliza, there instances where the fire underneath her scared persona blazed and shined through. Oh and might I add, there are many open door steamy scenes which I bet you'll love! 🤭 So if you're into a book with tropes like this, then this right here is your book!
