Overall I'm pretty impressed with this book. It's been on my list a long time, but I'm very glad that I got around to it. So basically you have a sprinkling of 'graced' people in the world. Great swimmers, amazing cooks, mind readers, etc, etc. Katsa is one such graced individual, as she has the ability to kill people easily. Because of this she is feared and avoided, and it doesn't help that her king uses her as a thug to keep his subjects in line. Pros: *Graceling didn't end when you would expect a book to end. In this case, I quite enjoyed hearing what unfolded after the main plot had been resolved, and I feel as though the author keeps her momentum well. *Po is pretty great. I didn't take to him at first because he was cocky, but he's not that cocky when you get down to it. *I feel like the plot and the premise are both strengths, just extremely well done and enjoyable. Cons: *Some sexual content. I don't feel like I can recommend this to someone under 17. *I listened to the audiobook, and while I quite enjoyed the various voices, I despised the music that played at every break. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys the following: BA female protagonists YA Fantasy (not paranormal) Bearable love stories (not sickly sweet) Quest-ish plots
