Green Lantern: Kyle Rayner Vol. 1
It’s been a while since I’ve given a comic volume five stars, but Kyle Rayner vol. 1 was worth breaking that streak.
I just love this character so much. He was reminiscent of Marv Wolfman’s initial run on Richard Rider, but with a little Spider-Man mixed in for good measure.
The mythos of GL was sprinkled throughout this volume as he begins to learn about the Corps.
All these years, I’ve known about Alex DeWitt’s murder, but it was far more gut wrenching reading it than it ever was as a fun fact.
I’m going to beg DC to finally complete the collected edition release of this series. I want to experience the entirety of Kyle’s story before Rebirth, but they never follow through.
This was easily my favorite GL story outside of the Geoff Johns run.
