So, this wasn't quite everything that I was hoping for. I was very taken with [b:Owl in Love|544313|Owl in Love|Patrice Kindl|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1382942162s/544313.jpg|2420443], and Keeping the Castle did not quite measure up.
However, this book is certainly much better than the average regency romp. There is almost no cheese factor, and I did find Althea to be interesting and relateable.
