Monkey House is a memoir of the author's time spent in federal prison in the United States. He spent the last seven years of his sentence with Bernie Madoff, Jonathan Pollard, Nicky Scarfo, Carmine Persico, and a host of other well known criminals. FCI Butner was used for serious medical care, was a mental health facility, and was used as a high profile, maximum security designation.
