ARC Review:
My review might be a lil biased because Marzy Opal is one of my auto-buy authors, also I'm a huge fan of her works and My Treasured Obsession is no different.
Marzy had me devouring this book in a way that should be studied.
My Treasured Obsession is a perfect blend of romance, banter, friendships, suspense and a whole lot of spice (some might be jaw dropping) and swoony moments which will have you giggling & blushing in the pillow!
Hunter Saint Warren is a shy, introvert star Quarterback who sticks to sidelines instead of being the center of attention but underneath is a smooth, dirty talking man who's willingly to cross any lengths for his obsession, Gabriela Regina Bellafiore. For more than 400 hundred days (yes he's counting the days), he's been fixated on her, never once speaking to her until the opportunity presents itself at a party where one kiss seals his fate.
Gabriela Regina Bellafiore is the complete opposite. Extrovert, a party animal and always pulling everyone's attention wherever she goes but underneath that she's scared, a delicate flower that is waiting to be loved right ā to be shown what it is like to be loved by a man who yearns, and worships the ground she walks on. Oh and did I mention she's a sassy, fiercely protective mob princess who'd not hesitate to pull a trigger for the people she loves?
The author did a great job building the tension between the two with constant tug of war or are they going to do it or not? With Gabriela's apprehension and Hunter's determination to make her his, it's amazing to see her embrace that it's okay to fall in love, give a chance and be vulnerable.
Other than limited character development, the book also touches on the elements of grief, an off page loss of parent, stalking, and suspense.
So if you love a good college romance with spicy open door scenes that would make you blush like a tomato then get this book!!
