Offside Rule is a fast paced novella that revolves around a single mom struggling with knee injury who is a one of the ruthless referees in Euro Football and a 19 years old defender and striker who is enamored by her since their first meet at a bar.
Arianna Esposito is a cold ruthless referee and ground and a sweet cinnamon roll mum to a giggly 4 years old daughter at home. While she struggles with injuries and her past trauma she is also strong and stubborn to move forward for the sake of her daughter's happiness. She is that comfort character that feels like a warm blanket.
Xavier Kevalle is a Spanish nineteen years old rising football player who couldn't help but be enamored by her since his sight fell upon her. Despite his young age, his character is wise far beyond his age but you can see his cheekiness coming into play whenever he's trying to impress her. He is compassionate, kind and all the green flags you can think of.
While they have a lot of chemistry between the two characters, the book is fairly clean with no spice at all. Just some suggestive scenes here and there but that's all. So if you're into short deep romantic stories that go beyond spice and are filled with cute dates and funny moments, this book is the one for you!
Add it to your TBR, you don't wanna miss out on Jan 16! π
