šŸ“–: Out on A Limb āœšŸ»: Hannah Bonam-Young ⭐: 4.25/5 | šŸŒ¶ļø: 2/5 Tropes: - disability representation - contemporary romance - accidental pregnancy - one night stand - friends to lovers - banter - single pov Review: Out on a limb is a sweet and short read which feels like a dessert you wanna have to curb your midnight sweet tooth. The book follows the story of Winnifred McNulty and Robert "Bo" Durand who met at the Halloween party. Little did they know that party was going to give them one of the most beautiful gifts of their lives. Winnifred is protective like a fierce mama bear but also a hyper-independent who fears being a burden to anyone because of her limb difference. So when she recieved news of her pregnancy, she had no choice but let people around her help. Bo is everything you'd want in your man. He's the ultimate green flag. When Win delivers the news of her unexpected pregnancy, he takes it with a stride. Bo is considerate, always looking out for people around him, a walking warmth of sunlight on a cold winter day. The author did an amazing job in weaving the story & building up the chemistry between them through constant communication, witty banter, awkwardness and struggle of opening up to one another, patience and many ill-timed funny moments. But what stood out to me was Winnifred opening up, making room for acceptance of good things, the blessings, the people & her love for Bo. Before you pick this book please do check the TWs as the book also touches topics of cancer, off page suicide & parental loss! Happy Reading xx
