This was a well thought out and written book. I’m excited for the rest of the series. The story starts off a bit slow but after some ground breaking moments you’re fully invested in the characters of this world.

The original Red Rising trilogy is absolutely tied one other series as an all-time favorite! I love the characters, the absolutely unexpected twists and turns, and the political intrigue that doesn't become so broad it's impossible to follow. I can't say enough good about this book!

Fantastic Elements of Ender's Game, Hunger Games and Game of Thrones. Riveting characters, great tactics. Just enough sci-fi. I highly recommend it.
