I went in with no idea what to expect — I didn’t even read a summary of the plot. I’m a huge WotM fan, and this book was a lot of fun while managing to be a totally different vibe. The shorter length made it a single-day read for me, and I never did know what to expect next. My only minor complaint is that I didn’t feel the marketing was clear on this being a first in a series book (with a cliffhanger), and I wish I’d known that going in.

Perfect for sci-fi fans who enjoy a slowly, naturally unfolding world in the midst of a breakneck-speed plot! Plus, I love that Islington’s writing is almost entirely profanity-free.
