This is definitely one of my top reads for 2025!!! Other than Quicksilver and Irresistible, it's the BEST fantasy I have read all year!!! <3 If you love immersive fantasy novels where you are thrust into a new world and get completely LOST in it, this is for you!!!!

Fun fact, I recently started working out. I have been walking/jogging on my treadmill while reading this book. The way I was GASPING, giggling, flailing my arms like a psycho at points during this book and I loved every second!! The battle scenes and Serene training were perfect motivation while working out. She is a total bad ass and an amazing FMC. I loved seeing her develop throughout the story without losing her sass & total disregard for their “ways”. The banter between her, Koen, and Florian is pretty great as well ;) I loved that we got to see her friendships develop with the other characters as well. Kaine and Theon were hilarious!! I think Reese did a STELLAR job making sure we had enough world building sprinkled throughout without completely overwhelming the reader. No notes honestly!!!
