I won my copy of Slow Love from Goodreads First Reads. Slow Love was not what I expected and I feel terrible giving it only 2 stars. I had hoped to find more about slow living in this book - since I think we can all benefit from that - but most of the book had such a depressed tone. It's completely understandable, given Dominique Browning's situation, but I still expected more from this book. I did enjoy parts of this book such as her piano playing, book reading and gardening. I'm happy that she was able to find peace after such a huge change in her life. Depression can be such an awful thing and so hard to get away from. I've heard great things about Dominique's other books and I look forward to reading them.
