TMNT is back!

I didn’t hate Sophie Campbell’s run, but it didn’t live up to Tom Waltz.

But when Jason Aaron was announced to pick up the soft reboot, I was intrigued. His run on Thor was the second best ever written. I waited until the deluxe edition dropped to experience the entire first arc, and it lived up!

It was really focused on the spiritual aspect, which was a great decision for the first story.

April’s arc was small but so fun.

And most notably, the art. My jaw dropped at some point during every issue. Some of the most creative uses of full page spreads I’ve ever seen.

I’m ready for volume two to fully get the band back together.

Every IP should be treated with the love & respect that IDW treats the Turtles. (I’m looking at you, Paramount. Stop destroying Star Trek.)
