Just reread this with my second grader. Goodness. I feel like this stretches me in a few ways.

I love this story because the main character starts out bored with the Christmas story, and because of the rough neighborhood kids who get cast as the main characters in the Nativity story, she sees the whole thing through new eyes. I would use the word touching.
