ARC Review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Spice: 🌶🌶🌶🔥 Book: The Guy For Me. Author: Marzy Opal. Expected Release Date: March 31st, 2023. BLURB: Liam O’Connell and Mabel Garcia have a lot in common. Big dreamers. White chocolate lovers. Supernatural movies and TV shows enthusiasts. Oh, and they’re both hopelessly in love with each other (but haven’t had the courage to confess it yet). When I read he excerpt of the book, I had no idea what's in store for me! I simply picked the book without checking tropes or anything. My choice was solely based on the fact that it was written by Marzy Opal. And god, am I glad to read this book. So heartwarming, so sweet, and so so freaking amazing! This book revolves around insecurities the one has about themselves, body positivity and an underlying concern of depression. I think everyone needs to read a book which includes such things and for a change shows characters which doesn't fit in the "picture perfect" image we have of our characters. Mabel Garcia is a 21 years old plus size model and a social influencer who spreads body positivity. Her character is sweet, confident, shy and bit reserved. She is in love her best friend from highschool, Liam & she loves him so immensely that you could feel it in the way she talks about him in her inner monologues, they were so emotional. I find myself smiling through those a lot. Then there was our sweet sweet Liam O'Connell. He loved Mabel just as much if not more. I mean the guy saves himself for her for when they do "IT" for the first time. Can he be more precious than that?! In the book, his character is seen struggling with extremely low self-esteem, how he finds difficult to meet his Bel because he fears that she might not like what she sees in him. The moments between Liam & Mabel are either so sweet or so hot! There is no in between. My God, I swear Liam has the filthiest mouth on him. Who knew the innocent virgin man is not so innocent? Marzy did an amazing job in writing those chapters of pure smut. I love how steamy she makes them, I literally felt goosebumps all over myself while reading those scenes. Yes, they were that Hot! 🔥 This book explores: - New Adult Romance, - College Romance, - Plus size characters, - Best Friends to Lovers, - Happily Ever After. If you love reading a book with such elements, then you don't wanna miss it! Lastly, thanks to Candi Kane PR and the author herself, Marzy Opal for this amazing ARC!
