I kept reading, and kept reading. And it never picked up. I've read textbooks that were more interesting and gripping.
Let's just do likes and dislikes.
Likes:
*Caroline Biddy was a neat character.
Dislikes:
*Pace. Very slow.
*Failure to deliver. I expected that the whole book was a great setup for something really interesting that was going to happen. Nope.
*Darker vibe.
I didn't hate this book, but there was certainly nothing in it that makes me want to recommend it.
