This was such a genius mix of present and past, fiction and history. I was so emotionally involved in how the story played out and if it would turn how out main character wanted. I also definitely called the main character a dumbass occasionally but he's human and stupid so he deserved it. I also really, really enjoyed spending time in Derry again. The glimpses into King's IT were fantastic. Fully recommend for a historical thriller with some time travel

Let me first say this is a monster of a book. Almost 1000 pages of detail and storylines. However, it is important to note that it is not a "horror" book. I would more closely associate it with a thriller. Fans of King will quickly catch onto the references to his other works. It is a gripping story that combines murder, romance, and the unknown. Where i believe it gets held back is that the ending feels rushed, and considering the build-up, it comes across as lack luster.
