I listened to the audiobook and while I tried to make notes I'm gonna have to go back and read the ebook to properly dive in because there is a lot to unpack in this book.
Kaitlyn does a fantastic job outlining how religion has influenced politics through slavery, segregation, Reagan, Bush, Obama, and Trump (mind you this was written in 2023 before Trump's reelection so this only touches on his first presidency), and the 2020 elections.
I wasn't sure going into this what political party Kaitlyn might lean toward with her writings so I was interested to see how she played that but I was very happy to see that she does her best (in my opinion) to point out how both parties have used religion to support their political beliefs... whether that support was good or bad as we look back on history now.
