So I knew some of the history of Forsyth that the author mentions at the end of the book but I did not know the history of Lake Lanier or the Atlantic Ripper really well. When I first got this book I kinda assumed it was a Camp Crystal Lake retelling but honestly it was better. Sylvester does an amazing job mixing real history with a fictional YA horror story that I really enjoyed. This is such a quick dark read but will probably prompt more reading as I find more books on the history that Sylvester introduces you to. I can't recommend picking this book up enough if you enjoy horror stories with a bit of true history mixed in in a very creative way.
