This was a great read! I adore the math and physics side of this nerdy sci-fi, and I enjoyed it enough to read it in a single sitting. My only complaint was that the final 10-15% of this book moved too quickly compared to the rest, making the ending feel somewhat rushed compared to the way the rest of the plot was laid out.

Once this book takes off, it never lets go. I devoured most of it in a single sitting because I had to know what happened next. It's mind-bending, fast-paced, and hits hard with its "what if" premise. It takes twists and turns that I didn't expect and kept me invested. That being said, it has a slow start, a few awkward moments, and some lingering unanswered questions kept it just shy of 5 stars for me.

I would recommend this book. For anyone who’s ever wondered what their life would be like if they had made a different choice at an earlier date or thought about the could-have-been things, this book is a definite page turner. The sci fi thriller I needed.

This is the best book I've read in some time. It raises interesting ethical questions, and puts an interesting and unexpected focus on family life. It would probably technically be a thriller, but I'm very sensitive and I wasn't upset by events, language, etc. There's a wide audience for Dark Matter. I don't want to spoil anything, just know that I heartily recommend this as one of the best books I've read in the last year or so.
