This was absolutely wonderful. Diamante does an amazing job writing about a Veterans struggles with PTSD, Loneliness, Depression, and Hopelessness in a fantasy story anyone can enjoy.
It very much reminded me of the Hobbit and almost felt like it could be a story about Fili, Kili or the other dwarves after they return from their journey. I'm looking forward to reading more of Diamante's books after this.
