So I tried reading this once before and dnf'd a few chapters in out of dislike for the fmc. I decided to try it again, and I really enjoyed the story itself, the vampires, the humans, the school, and everything. I still can't stand the fmc, and now I also can't stand the mmc, but I really enjoy the way they interact with each other and their relationship... we'll see if I decide to read book 2 when it releases, but currently, I'm just glad to be done with all these smart people and vampires who refuse to think anything thru before they do it
