Years after first reading this book I still occasionally return because Bethke does such an amazing job laying out who Jesus followers actually are vs religion followers. He doesnt tell you how a Jesus follower should act or think but instead tells you how to use the Bible to show Gods love and use it to influence how you act and think.
I also regularly recommend this book to friends of my own generation because Bethke so clearly discusses many of the issues we struggle with, LGB, secular music, porn and more and how Jesus dealt with them with love and not judgment
