This isn't the first time someone has taken over the reins in writing a popular series when the original author is unable to continue writing it themselves (Douglas Adams and Steig Larsson are both examples of such revered authors who are no longer with us). However, it's always a scary prospect and the results do vary. When I came across this book by Sophie Hannah, I was immediately excited and trepidatious at the same time; I love Agatha Christie's novels, particularly the Hercu
