Damn, this was just fantastic. I had an idea where the story was going in as I read but I had no idea some of the twists that Markert would throw in there. In my opinion its rather hard for authors to write books about authors without making them feel pretentious but while I started out disliking Ben I slowly started to root for him. The entire cast of characters were honestly fantastic and almost gave me Gotham City vibes.
Definitely recommend if you want a horror book that'll keep you invested and wanting more. Gonna have to check out more of Markert's books if the rest are anything like this.
