The chapter lengths were also great, not too short but definitely had me turning pages quickly. If you haven’t read The Sanatorium, start there, and then make your way to The Wilds!! This was a re-read, and I keep my opinion on how I felt by reading this book for the first time THE WILDS is the third and final instalment of the trilogy that Sarah Pearse started with The Sanatorium, in 2021 and then The Retreat, in 2022.
