*This book was an ARC. This is my honest voluntary review*
Shane and Laney just have the worst luck. They know the other is their soulmate but life just won't let them have their happiness.
This book did such an amazing job of giving me the angst and tension between 2 teens coming-of-age in the grunge of the 90s. Watching Laney raise herself and her brother while their mother gallants about, and their older brother does what he wants; Shane navigate between couches, being able to eat and his learning disorder; and the both of them figure out growing up, loving each other, and life, was intense. I was constantly hoping they would just get a break in life but right when life seemed to get better... it all fell apart again.
I can't wait for the next book as their is no way I'm gonna let Atkins leave us with THAT ending. I'll riot.
