Very slow, wallowing start, at about page 43, up to their it is all setup and a fairly direct parody of "A Princess of Mars" and "The Swordsman of Mars - D516", Much of the science is from Kline, while the Mars seems very 'Barsoomic' and the end with a Blue Giant warrior comrade is very Burroughs. One the fighting begins it really becomes an action adventure read with it's own unique world qualities. Quirky recommend. Thanks, Harry! ... Adam J.C. Marsh ... Not
