I very much enjoyed how Martin brought depth and context to Biblical stories. Stories that if your a Christian you read many times or if your new to your faith you may not understand the impact of.
Like many other reviewers I had a bit of an issue with the 'repent for our ancestors sins' and 'generational curses' section as while I do believe we need to recognize we come from people who are deeply flawed, we cannot take their fault and assume bad stuff that happens to us is due to generational curses. I feel like that route makes it too easy to blame all of our issues on generational curses instead of recognizing the world is a sinful place and its not going to easy.
Anyway, I think this would be a great book for a Bible study where you can discuss each chapter with other Christians.
