Women have a history of being not listened to, silenced and forgotten. What She Left Behind is a heartwrenching fictional story of some of those women. One modern young woman trying to come to terms with what her mother did and one young woman who just wants a choice in who to love and is instead shoved in a mental asylum. This book was particularly heart breaking after reading The Woman They Could Not Silence by Kate Moore and knowing how true it is and how long it went on. I fully recommend Kate Moore' book if you want more
