I'll be honest, before now I knew very little about Lady Bird or the LBJ presidency. I knew the basics like he was Kennedys VP and took over after the assassination, that he ran and was voted in for another term, and that he was a major hand in getting the Civil Rights Act. I did not know how much of a partner Lady Bird was to him and how she supported him.
After Kennedys assassination the country feared LBJ getting killed as well but Lady Bird willing went campaigning for him despite the risk and she was instrumental in him getting re-elected. I very much enjoyed learning so much about the women who influenced the presidency and ultimately the course of history.
